So, a long time ago, I had an inspiration to write
an article, but I had absolutely no idea how to go about it, but I do now, the
title is UNDERSTANDING THE TIMES.
According to the scripture in 1 chronicles 12:32.
The children of Issachar had the understanding of the times. Understanding the times has a lot to do with foresight, vision, knowing when and what would
happen or should happen, having foreknowledge of events.
One unique attribute/characteristics/trait of the
children of Issachar is they had the time, they knew what Israel ought to do
and this gave them an edge over their brethren, this made them by nature
leaders. They were leaders by virtue of an ability they possess to understand the times and seasons they are in and make appropriate use of it.
The scripture records that all their brethren were
at their command, this means that:
1. Foresight is key everywhere and in everything.
2. When you have foresight, you would be respected, it sort of gives you an
edge, sort of elevates you over and above your peers, colleague, equal.
3. To be a leader, you must have foresight. You must know how to see, learn
to see when and where others don’t.
To achieve number 3 above, you must have quite a number of diligence and
patience, to search further, look closely, don’t overlook things.
To understand the times you
must
1.
Have a secret place. A place to recharge, reboot and bounce back.
2.
Never quit studying and making research
3.
Be dedicated
4.
Be diligent
5.
Not be quick to talk, but be quick to listen.
6.
Have wisdom. If
you don’t have wisdom ask from God. Proverbs 2.6
