Ruth Abidoye's thought of the day

One of the mistakes we tend to make is overestimating how good
something will be.

We tend to think eating tons of cheesecake will be glorious and it will
be at first glance.

The first couple bites and slices will be heavenly.

But then after a little while, it's not as good as it seemed.

There is a curve where satisfaction rises and then drops off.

The key is to understand what that curve looks like for the various
activities you enjoy and to spend enough time on them before
our level of satisfaction drops off.

This way you make room for various other activities and you maximize
your enjoyment of them without feeling like you left a lot on the table.
