Scoleri - Germany played their best game and we played our worst.

After Brazil, host of the World Cup lost to Germany yesterday. The Coach of Brazil’s national team Luiz Felipe Scolari, has said that the 7-1 drubbing his side received from Germany, was “the worst day of his life”.
Scolari, who was without Neymar and Thiago Silva, had no answer for the Germans as they ran into a 5-0 lead at half time and has taken the blame for the loss.
“I am responsible (for the) catastrophic result, ” he said following the record defeat in Belo Horizonte.
“I made the choices. I was responsible.”

“We ask for forgiveness for the result. We thank the fans for their support even during this defeat.
“Germany played their best game of the World Cup, and we played our worst. This is probably the worst day of my life.”
Scolari admitted that his players never really recovered from going down early to Thomas Muller’s goal and it went all down hill from then.
“We got disorganised, panicked after the first goal,” he said. “It all went wrong for us… but I will live with the consequences.”
“I couldn’t change anything… it was one goal after the other. There was nothing to be done during that breakdown.”
