Liberian finance ministry employee Patrick Sawyer was found to be infected with the Ebola virus when he arrived in Lagos on July 20, he was treated by a doctor and despite that he died on July 25.
The doctor who treated the Liberian Ebola victim has contracted the virus, the second confirmed case in sub-Saharan Africa’s largest city.
Lets not trivialize this issue but instead take the precautions given.
- wash your hands often with soap and water.
- Avoid bush meat, suya, cook your meats well and wash it with salt before cooking.
- Avoid travelling to areas of unknown outbreaks.
- Avoid environment contaminated with such fluids.
- Report any case to the nearest hospital.
- Be on the look out for warning signs.
- Avoid contact with people with suspicious signs and places of outbreak.
